Gate 33: Privacy — Retreat
Gate 33 is located in the Throat Center and corresponds to hexagram 33 of the I Ching — "Retreat". This is the gate of privacy and retelling, which allows a person to retreat in order to reflect on the past and share wisdom with others.
A person with Gate 33 naturally needs time alone. This is not an escape from the world, but a strategic need to process experience before returning to it as a storyteller.
Channel 13-33: The Channel of the Prodigal
Gate 33 connects with Gate 13 (in the G Center), forming Channel 13-33 — The Channel of the Prodigal. This is a projecting channel that makes a person a witness and keeper of the stories of their time.

Practical advice
If you have Gate 33, honor your need for solitude — it is your mechanism for processing experience. Keep a journal, record observations. Your gift manifests when you are invited to share — don't impose stories, wait for invitation.
