Transparency matters, especially in a self-knowledge tool. Here is exactly how HD Matrix calculates your bodygraph and where our data comes from.
The calculation engine
Every bodygraph is computed from planetary positions via the Swiss Ephemeris (pyswisseph) — the same astronomical standard professional astrologers use. We calculate two moments: birth (Personality) and ~88 degrees of solar arc before birth (Design), then project the positions onto the 64 I Ching hexagrams and the bodygraph's centers and channels.
The Human Design system
We follow the canonical Human Design system synthesized by Ra Uru Hu (1987): the I Ching, astrology, the Kabbalah and the Hindu chakra system. For crosses and gates we provide both a classical reading (the Ra Uru Hu tradition) and a Quantum Human Design reframe. Our interpretation library holds 9,500+ entries verified against published sources.
Celebrity data
Over 11,200 celebrity charts are built from public birth records. Each profile carries a birth-time accuracy label (exact / approximate / date-only), because without an exact time the profile and some gates can shift. We do not fabricate data — an unknown time is labelled explicitly.
Translation & editorial
The platform is available in 31 languages. Core content (uk/ru/en) is written by hand; other languages use machine translation with editorial control over Human Design terminology (the brand "Human Design" stays in English). Content is maintained by the HD Matrix editorial team and charts are reviewed regularly.
