The Left Angle Cross of Disobedience is one of the 192 Incarnation Crosses in Human Design, and it carries a deliberately provocative name. It is not a cross that encourages conformity, tradition, or going along with the crowd. It is here to refuse — quietly, stubbornly, and at great personal cost if necessary.

This cross belongs to the family of Left Angle Crosses, which are role-model crosses. Unlike the Right Angle Crosses (which express karma through absorption and influence), the Left Angle Crosses are here to demonstrate a way of being. People with this cross are not just living their lives; they are setting an example. The challenge is that the example they are setting is often uncomfortable for everyone around them.

The Cross of Disobedience is one of several themed crosses built from the same four gates: Gate 1 (The Creative), Gate 2 (The Receptive), Gate 7 (The Self in Interaction, sometimes called the Shadow), and Gate 13 (The Listener).
