Among the types of Definition in Human Design — Single, Split, Triple Split, Quadruple Split, and none at all (the Reflector) — the Quadruple Split is the rarest configuration of defined energy. Where most people operate with one or two consistent streams of definition, a Quadruple Split carries four separate, disconnected areas of definition. For their aura to function coherently, four separate bridges must be built.

What a Quadruple Split Actually Is

Definition is the part of your chart that lights up consistently — the centers, channels, and gates that are always "on." In a Quadruple Split, these activated zones cluster into four distinct islands, separated by stretches of open (undefined) centers and channels. The aura, in effect, is split into four pieces that need to be wired together through contact with the outside world.

This pattern is uncommon enough that it accounts for a tiny percentage of the population. It is not the same as a Triple Split, which has three gaps to bridge; the Quadruple has one more layer of disconnection.
