The fourth line of the Gate of Doubt is the Networked Skeptic — the voice of post-completion questioning that cannot be held in isolation. Where line 6 brings doubt to universal, philosophic expression and line 1 plants doubt in the body's pure awareness, line 4 carries it outward into the marketplace of friends, alliances, and shared conversations. Its keynote is "I question completion through you." The completion has already happened; the doubt is real; and the only way the 4th-line 63 can metabolize it is by speaking it into a web of relationships.

Line 4 is the fixed, outer-directed bridge between personality and transpersonal. It is the "opportunist" line — not cynical opportunism, but the fundamental recognition that the Self is realized through the Other. The fourth line lives through its network.
