Human Design Is Time-Sensitive by Design
Your Human Design chart is calculated from the exact positions of the planets at the moment you took your first breath. This isn't symbolic. The system was built using precise astronomical data, and the chart is a mechanical map of the sky at that moment, expressed through 9 Centers, 36 Channels, 64 Gates, and 12 Profiles.
Here's what makes birth time so consequential: Human Design uses two charts. The Personality chart uses your actual birth moment. The Design chart, which represents your unconscious body and theme, is calculated by going back 88 degrees of the Sun's apparent motion, roughly 88 days before birth. Both calculations depend entirely on having the correct birth time.

It moves about 12 to 13 degrees per day, and since each of the 64 Gates spans roughly 5.6 degrees of the wheel, the Moon changes Gates every 9 to 11 hours on average.
