The Left Angle Cross of Wishes (2) is a transpersonal karmic incarnation cross anchored by the Personality Sun in Gate 50, the Gate of Values. The "(2)" distinguishes this cross from its sister configuration, marking it as a specific geometric arrangement of four gates on the mandala. As a Left Angle cross, its evolutionary purpose is not rooted in personal destiny but in the resolution and transformation of collective karma, the deep patterns of desire, value, and aspiration that the individual has agreed to witness and transmute on behalf of the whole.
The Angle: Transpersonal Karma
Left Angle crosses are the karma crosses of the Human Design system. Where the Right Angle cross asks the individual to fulfill a personal destiny through focused action, the Left Angle cross places the person in the flow of transpersonal karma, the unfinished business of the collective unconscious. Those born under this cross carry a karmic imprint that is not their own alone but inherited from the larger human story. Their purpose is to meet this karma with awareness, to dissolve what no longer serves, and to contribute something refined and clarified back to the collective field. The theme of "Wishes" suggests that the karma in question revolves around longing, desire, and what humanity has wished for across many cycles of incarnation.

Gate 50, known as the Gate of Values or the Cauldron, governs the emotional and spiritual domain of worth. It asks the fundamental question: What is worth defending, and what is worth releasing? This gate is the alchemical container where values are tested through emotional experience. It is not a gate of logic but of felt knowing, the deep sense that arises from the cauldron of the Solar Plexus about what truly matters.
